David M. Schleider, DMD, MS

Dr. David M. Schleider received his B.A. from the University of Rochester, an M.S. in Immunology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the recipient of the prestigious Columbia award for excellence in crown and bridge dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his certificate in Prosthodontics from Virginia Commonwealth University, where he also completed a Masters of Science in Dentistry.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. David M. Schleider received the Virginia Living Magazine “Top Dentist” Award in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Dr. Schleider also received 3rd Place for “Best Bedside Manner – 2018” published by Richmond’s OurHealth Magazine. Learn More..

Catherine T. Dallow, DMD, DDS

Dr. Catherine Dallow grew up in Panama. She knew from an early age that her vocation was to serve and empathize with people. This is what led her to Dental School and Prosthodontics. Dr. Catherine Dallow received her D.D.S. from the University of Panama and her D.M.D. from the University of Puerto Rico. She graduated Magna Cum Laude (D.M.D.) and is the recipient of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award of Merit. Dr. Dallow received her certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Puerto Rico. She speaks Spanish and loves growing patients’ confidence through beautiful new smiles. April Peterson

April joined Commonwealth Prosthodontics in 2016 as our Financial and Insurance Coordinator. She has over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She enjoys building relationships with all of the patients and helping them set up payment arrangements or answer their insurance questions. April loves working alongside such great doctors and staff at Commonwealth Prosthodontics. She has been married to her husband for over 20 years. April is a huge animal lover and advocate and has two cats and two dogs. She enjoys walking with her dogs, going to vegetarian festivals and various parks and museums, the vegan lifestyle, listening to forensic files and Freakonomics! She loves living in Richmond because Carytown is very vegan-friendly. Plus, Richmond is close to Virginia Beach, DC museums, and state parks.

Laura Calle

Laura Calle joined Commonwealth Prosthodontics in May of 2004 and is now the Office Manager. Laura enjoys helping patients reach their dental health goals and improving their overall quality of life. Laura values developing long-lasting relationships with patients. She is happy to help patients in any way she can, including arranging comfortable financial agreements, setting up referrals or discussing treatment plans. Laura loves spending time with her wonderful husband and three boys. She enjoys singing in her church choir and praise team, reading, cooking and dance aerobic classes. Laura also loves going to the Outer Banks with her family.

Marjorie “MJ” Barker

With a passion for learning and challenging herself, MJ has been a dental hygienist for more than 10 years and serves as a clinical instructor and member of the VCU Dental Hygiene Adjunct Faculty. She strives to be compassionate and to always put the needs of her patients first. Patients are an extension of her family and MJ loves helping her patients find confidence through an improved smile and educating them on how oral health affects overall health. MJ enjoys getting to know her patients and treasures the trust they place in her as their clinician. Outside of the office, MJ can be found spending time with her family, attending church, exploring hiking trails, watching her son play baseball and being with friends at the lake.

Bridget Cook

Bridget Cook has been a dental assistant for eighteen years and is the newest addition to the Commonwealth Prosthodontics family. Bridget has previous experience in general dentistry as well as orthodontics. Bridget’s current passion is dental implants. She enjoys helping to change patients’ lives by restoring their smiles. Bridget has an eleven year old son. In her spare time, Bridget enjoys being with family and friends.

Tammy Spence

Tammy Spence is a Certified Dental Assistant with over eighteen years experience. Tammy joined Commonwealth Prosthodontics in 2006 and has been working with Dr. Schleider for over ten years. Tammy has a love for dentistry that shows in her ability to care for her patients and make them feel at ease. Her special areas of interest include implant reconstruction. Tammy’s favorite part of her job is being creative and helping to transform a patients smile into one they can be proud of. Tammy is married with three daughters and one son. She spends all of her spare time with her family and working as a member of the children’s ministry at her church. Tammy enjoys playing softball, watching football, reading, going to the gym for Zumba classes and backgammon.

Monica Williams

Monica Williams rejoins Commonwealth Prosthodontics as a Certified Dental Assistant. She also has an Associates Degree in Arts & Science. Monica loves being able to help people feel good about themselves and obtain a healthy and beautiful smile. In her spare time, Monica enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two sons and a pug named Zeus. She also enjoys camping at Lake Gaston with her family and friends, reading and playing Pokemon® go!
